Finding Light, Losing perfection

Over the past few months, I’ve been rethinking how I paint. Being surrounded by antique artworks at my job has reminded me that art doesn’t need to be flawless to matter. I’ve loosened my process, layering oils on small panels, letting fragments of older works resurface and fade.
